Fire Displaces 4 Adults, Causes $300K In Damage
Dozens of firefighters battled a second-story balcony blaze at a Whitehall home Saturday afternoon that displaced 4 residents.

WHITEHALL, MD — Four people have been displaced after a fire broke out at a White Hall Road Saturday afternoon.
Nearly three dozen firefighters from the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company were called to the two-story single family home located in the 5100 block of Norrissville Road around 2:33 p.m.
A passerby discovered a blaze on a second floor balcony and began honking their horn to get the residents' attention. Three of the four people living there heard the horn and were able to escape without injury, according to investigators with the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Investigators have estimated the loss of contents and structure at $300,000. They believe the fire may have been caused by an electrical failure or discarded smoking materials, but continues to be investigated, officials said.
