Fire Pit Fall in Abingdon Sends Man to Hospital: Officials
Victim had second and third-degree burns, according to Office of the State Fire Marshal.

A man who fell into a fire pit in Abingdon Saturday morning is hospitalized with burn injuries to his hands, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
At 2:14 a.m., paramedics from Abingdon responded to the Box Hill South neighborhood for an emergency, the fire marshal reported.

A 32-year-old man had fallen into a fire pit in the 3100 block of Thornapple Court, the report said.
He was being treated for second and third-degree burn injuries to both hands at the Johns Hopkins Burn Center at Bayview, the fire marshal reported.
