Firefighters Called To Rescue Horse Stuck In Gooseneck Trailer

Firefighters and a special operations team were called to Pylesville to help rescue a horse that had gotten stuck in the front of a trailer.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A horse became stuck in the gooseneck of a trailer Tuesday after 8 p.m. near Graceton Road and Wheeler School Road in Pylesville.

Firefighters and a county special operations team were dispatched to the site. A vet was called and the horse sedated to avoid any further injuries.

Crews created an extrication plan using air bags and backboards. They were able to safely remove the horse from the trailer after an hour of work. According to the fire department, the horse did not have any serious injuries other than the abrasions that could be seen on its body.

The fire department did not comment on how the horse ended up in the gooseneck part of the trailer.
