Firefighters Investigate Smoke at Harford Mutual
Crews probed the insurance business on North Main Street, where officials said smoke was coming from the elevator area.
Bel Air, MD — Smoke in an elevator shaft drew firefighters to Main Street Monday afternoon in Bel Air.
A motor had burned inside the elevator machine room at Harford Mutual Insurance, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
Crews responded to the business in the 200 block of North Main Street around 2 p.m., Gardiner said.
