Harford County Flags To Fly At Half-Staff Friday To Honor Longtime Emergency Worker

On Friday, flags will fly at half-staff across Harford County to honor longtime EMS provider Linda Dousa.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Flags will fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset Friday to coincide with the memorial service being held for Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company Officer Linda Dousa.

Dousa served as assistant EMS chief and was a lifetime member of the fire company.

“I am saddened by Linda Dousa’s passing. Linda touched countless lives over 45 years as an emergency medical services provider and mentored generations of new volunteers. Before and during her 14 years as the EMS assistant chief with the Abingdon Volunteer Fire Company, Linda played a critical part in shaping the Abingdon Fire Company’s EMS department. Linda and her husband Bill were an incredible partnership in service to their neighbors. My prayers and thoughts are with Bill and the family," said Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly.
