Flames Shoot Through Roof Off MD 543: Harford Fire Officials

Emergency personnel fought a house fire in Street Saturday morning.

STREET, MD — Firefighters battled a house fire Saturday morning in Harford County where flames were shooting through the roof when they arrived. By 7 a.m., officials said the fire was under control and the road was closed around the scene.

At 6:11 a.m., crews responded to the 3300 block of Ady Road and found a dwelling with fire through the roof, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

By 6:50 a.m., authorities reported that nobody was found inside the home.

The fire was declared under control as of 6:54 a.m., according to officials.

People were asked to avoid the area due to heavy fire apparatus activity.

MD 543 was closed between Dublin Road and Prospect Road, transportation authorities said.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal was investigating the cause of the blaze.
