Flash Flood Warning Issued For North Harford County

A flash flood warning is in effect for northwestern Harford County until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2.

A flash flood warning means that flooding is occurring or is about to occur. The warning applies to northwestern Harford County, where weather officials say Pylesville is expected to flood.

At 3:28 p.m., radar showed thunderstorms with heavy rain in areas where 3 inches of rain had already fallen, according to the National Weather Service.

Those in the warning area should move to higher ground. People living along streams and creeks should protect life and property.

Drivers who encounter standing water should turn around; don't drown.
