Flash Flood Warning Tuesday Evening

National Weather Service encourages individuals to report flooding to law enforcement.

A flash flood warning is in effect for the area until 9:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing extremely heavy rain across the area. Two to three inches had already fallen in some parts of the area, and a spotter had reported flash flooding along Ridge Road in the Glencoe and Cockeysville area.

“An additional one to two inches of rain is very likely,” the NWS said.

Motorists are encouraged to turn around when encountering flooded roadways. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Individuals should alert law enforcement to flooded roads when they can do so safely.
