Flood Watch, Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Harford County
Forecasters have issued a flood watch and a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Maryland, including Harford County.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Heavy rain with the potential for localized flooding prompted the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook and flood watch for parts of the state, including Harford County, on Friday. A flood watch means that there is potential for flooding, and people should monitor later forecasts.
The flood watch is in effect until 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29.
It calls for periods of moderate to heavy rain with 1 to 2 inches of rain expected. Localized amounts of 3 or more inches possible, according to the flood watch.

These areas are under the flood watch until 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29:
- Anne Arundel
- Baltimore
- Harford
- Montgomery
- Prince George's
The Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and the I-95 corridor are particularly at risk.

Rain in other areas may still result in localized flooding, according to the hazardous weather outlook, which says that mainstem river flooding could occur late Friday night through Saturday.
Here is the forecast for Bel Air from the National Weather Service:
Friday: Periods of rain. Patchy fog. High near 57. South wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday night: Periods of rain, mainly before 8pm. Patchy fog before 11pm, then patchy fog after 5am. Low around 44. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Saturday: Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Northwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 32. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph.
Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Light and variable wind.
Sunday Night: A slight chance of showers after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Monday: Rain after 8am. High near 49. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday Night: Rain. Low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
New Year's Day: Rain likely before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 42.
Wednesday Night: A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday: A chance of rain and snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
