Fog Advisory Extended In Maryland: National Weather Service
BREAKING: Dense fog may greatly reduce visibility on Monday, March 27, National Weather Service advises.

UPDATE (8:55 a.m.) — The National Weather Service has extended the dense fog advisory for the Baltimore-Washington area. The advisory is now effective until noon on Monday, March 27. (Previously, it was set to expire at 9 a.m.)
Due to dense fog, the National Weather Service issued the advisory and alerted drivers that they may experience rapidly changing conditions and areas of limited visibility. Visibilities may be one-quarter mile or less, officials advise.
Drivers should do the following, according to the National Weather Service:

- Use headlights.
- Reduce speed.
- Increase following distance between vehicles.
The dense fog advisory applies to Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's and St. Mary's counties as well as the District of Columbia and parts of Virginia.
Caroline, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties are under a separate dense fog advisory until 10 a.m.

Public schools in Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties are opening late on Monday due to fog. Dorchester is starting two hours late, while Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties are delayed 90 minutes.
