Football Game Ends With An Edgewood Rams Victory And Shots Fired: Harford County Sheriff

Shots were fired at Edgewood High School Friday after the Rams won their football game over the Mariners, the sheriff's office reports.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Shots were fired outside Edgewood High School Friday night after the football game had ended.

Edgewood Rams played the Joppatowne Mariners Friday at 6 p.m. and won 32 to 12. Harford County sheriff's deputies assigned to the football game responded to reports of a shooting while students were leaving the area.

A preliminary investigation indicates the shots were fired near the front of the school and away from the stadium. No injuries were reported. Two suspects were apprehended at the scene and other suspects are still being sought, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

"Thank you to all the parents, students and school staff who remained calm and assisted in the orderly disbursement of the crowd," the sheriff's office stated.

Deputies found evidence supporting a shooting and charges are pending. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ross at 443-409-3555.
