Forest Hill Man Dies When Car Goes Off Road, Overturns: State Police
A Forest Hill man died when his car went over a curb in Bel Air, hit guide wires that caused it to overturn and struck a truck, police said.
BEL AIR, MD — A Forest Hill man died Thursday night when his car went over a curb in Bel Air, hit guide wires for a pole that caused the vehicle to overturn and strike a truck, authorities said.
The fatal crash occurred shortly after 11:10 p.m. Thursday near northbound South Fountain Green Road just south of Foxborough Road in Bel Air, according to a Maryland State Police news release. William Daniel Wagoner, 47, of Forest Hill died at the scene.
Investigators said a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Wagoner was northbound on South Fountain Green Road when, for unknown reasons, it drove off the northbound shoulder of the road and struck the curb.

The Honda continued across the front lawn of a home in the 800 block of South Fountain Green Road before crashing into the guide wires from a utility pole. The impact with the wires caused the Honda to spin and overturn before it struck a Ford F250 pickup truck that was parked in the driveway of the home, state police said.
The road was closed for about two hours following the crash.
