Foster Kids Book Drive
2nd Annual Book Drive to provide 200 kids in Harford County Foster Care with new books at their annual Christmas Party.
Books change lives! They increase vocabulary, promote learning, and give life meaning. They also encourage bonding with an adult when reading time is spent together. Books can give context to life problems and help children develop coping strategies to difficult problems.
Our goal is to provide a new book for each of the approximately 200 children in foster care in Harford County at their annual Christmas Party, December 3.Below is the link to the fundraiser site. Here are some ways you can help this cause:
- Donations are always appreciated. Because we have a matching grant program that we can utilize, your donated money goes further. For every $20 donated, approximately 3 children will receive books.
- Challenge your co-workers to join you! Could your office sponsor 15 kids with a $100 donation?
- Spread the word! Share the YouCaring link on social media, text your friends, colleagues. All donors will receive public recognition in local news sources.
