Freeze Warning Issued For Parts Of Maryland
Temperatures are expected to dip overnight, which could put plants and plumbing at risk, the National Weather Service warns.
MARYLAND — A freeze warning takes effect overnight, with temperatures potentially dipping to 30 degrees by Saturday morning.
Sensitive vegetation and crops may become damaged, and so could unprotected outdoor plumbing.
"Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold," the National Weather Service warns. "To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
