Fuel Spill In Abingdon Sparks Call For Sand Truck
Emergency officials said they were called to a fuel spill Monday night off Abingdon Road at Box Hill South Parkway.

ABINGDON, MD — A fuel spill in Abingdon Monday night made for hazardous road conditions, according to the Abingdon Fire Company. The spill happened on Abingdon Road at Box Hill South Parkway, officials said before midnight.
"Crews have determined there is an unrecoverable amount of fuel spilled in the area..." the fire company reported.
A sand truck was called, according to officials, who said they had notified the Harford County Department of Public Works.
