Funding For U.S. Route 1 Bypass In Harford County Included In MDOT Draft Report
Funding for the U.S. Route 1 bypass at Maryland Route 24 in Harford County has been included in the MDOT consolidated transportation report.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — County leaders met Monday with state transportation officials to discuss the Maryland Department of Transportation's draft for the six-year Maryland consolidated transportation report for fiscal years 2023 through 2028.
The draft report has been called the “largest six-year capital transportation budget ever” and allocates $19.9 billion to “replace and repair aging infrastructure, expand transit opportunities, support Maryland’s economic recovery and preserve and expand the state’s transportation network,” according to a MDOT news release.
For Harford County, the report draft includes funds for the U.S. Route 1 bypass at Maryland Route 24.

“We're all working together to utilize funding wisely to maintain our transportation assets, deliver major projects and plan for the future – and at the same time contribute to Maryland's economic recovery," MDOT Secretary James F. Ports, Jr. said.
