Fundraiser Supports Bel Air Townhouse Fire Victims
Community donates to mother and son who live in Bel Air South townhome damaged by December fire.

BEL AIR, MD — After a townhouse in Bel Air was damaged due to a kitchen fire, a friend of the family started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for the victims. The Dec. 16 blaze impacted a man and his mother who live on Temple Drive in Bel Air South.
"Mom was cooking her dinner and the next thing she knew, this kitchen was ablaze," the GoFundMe page states. The kitchen was reportedly determined a total loss, while the rest of the home had significant smoke damage.
The goal of the GoFundMe campaign is to raise $10,000; more than $4,400 had been donated as of Dec. 26.

Money raised from the campaign will go to the man and his mother who lived in the house so they can begin putting their home back together, according to the GoFundMe page.
