Garage Fire In North Harford Caused $110K In Damage: Fire Marshal
The fire marshal credited firefighters with ensuring a garage blaze was not worse.

WHITE HALL, MD — Officials say a quick response from firefighters helped contain a blaze in northern Harford County on Presidents Day. The fire off Norrisville Road started in a garage and required about 50 firefighters to control, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
At 3:18 p.m. on Monday, the owner of the property found the fire in the 3200 block of Dry Branch Road.
The two-car garage was ablaze, and the flames extended to the attached residence, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Nobody was injured, officials said, and it took firefighters approximately 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
There was an estimated $110,000 in damage. The fire marshal said the blaze caused $90,000 in structural damage, while $20,000 worth of items were lost as well.

While investigators determined the fire originated in the garage, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
