Gas Leak At Bel Air Elementary School Reported

The incident affected the dismissal time for students at Bel Air Elementary School on Monday, Jan. 7, officials said.

BEL AIR, MD — A gas leak was reported at Bel Air Elementary School Monday afternoon. The investigation into the incident impacted school letting out for the day, officials said.

The reported gas leak was located in the gymnasium at the school at 30 East Lee Street, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

Dismissal was delayed at the school until BGE could clear the situation, Gardiner reported on Monday, Jan. 7.

The school normally lets out at 4 p.m.

Nobody was injured in the incident, Gardiner said.
