GIRLS' SOCCER: Elk Hunting: Bobcats Rebound from JC Loss
The Bobcats went on the road to take down Elkon 3-0 Friday afternoon. Three different players scored in the first half and Emily Rosenberger made four saves in the shutout.
The Bobcats handled the Elkton Elks with ease in a 3-0 road victory Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Teresa Berg opened the scoring early with a header before classmate Brooke Lorber buried a corner with another header shortly thereafter.
In the waning moments of the second half junior Lindsay Tumminello scored from just inside the 18 yard box.

"We played a solid game," Bobcats head coach Josh Clemmer said. "[We] added a third goal before the end of halftime, and then played some defensive soccer and moved the ball around a little bit and finished out the game with a shutout."
It was junior goalie Emily Rosenberger's first shutout of the year after getting bested by her counterpart Gina Maiorana of John Carroll in a 1-0 home loss Wednesday. Friday's game was a case of defense by offense.

"We pretty much controlled the flow of the game and kept the ball in our possession," Clemmer said. "We spent a lot of time on our offensive end and put a lot of pressure on Elkton."
Freshman Jordan Layfield and senior Sam Williams picked up assists for Bel Air.
The Bobcats (1-1-0) return home Monday to host Patterson Mill at 6:30 p.m.
