A family is grieving the loss of a young father who leaves behind a 4-month-old daughter and an unborn child, as well as his girlfriend.
FALLSTON, MD — A young father has died unexpectedly, leaving behind a 4-month-old daughter, Evelynn Marie, and an unborn child. Loved ones have organized fundraisers to help support the family.
Ryan Murimi passed away March 31, leaving behind his girlfriend and their young family, according to fundraisers established in his memory.
"He was a proud new father to his beautiful 4-month-old baby girl, whom he adored," Sybil McDowell wrote on a GoFundMe. "Ryan was the best big brother to his three younger siblings. He loved his family and friends, was always there to lend a hand to a neighbor and had a contagious smile and a passion for football."

A GoFundMe created by Gavin Thompson has raised nearly $9,000 out of a goal of $13,000.
"They had just moved into their first home and were starting their life together. With his passing comes tremendous heartache on top of the financial responsibility his girlfriend and family now have to deal with. Any donation, no matter how small, will go for the care of Evelynn and his unborn child. Please keep his family in your prayers," Thompson wrote.
