Hairdryer Suspected Of Sparking House Fire With $100K Damage: Official
Officials believe a hairdryer may have caused a house fire in Joppa that caused $100,000 in damage. The incident is under investigation.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Four pets were rescued by neighbors and firefighters during a house fire that broke out Tuesday shortly after 1 p.m. at 309 Tanglewood Court in Joppa.
Twenty-five firefighters were on hand and took approximately 10 minutes to reign in the fire. The fire broke out in the bathroom, according to the fire department, and was contained there.
However, the entire home sustained significant smoke, soot and water damage. Estimated loss has been pegged at $100,000.

While the fire is under investigation, officials cannot rule out the failure of a hairdryer. Friends and family are assisting the owner, the fire department disclosed.
