Harford Community College Celebrates Constitution Day 2019

A number of activities are planned in conjunction with Constitution Day.

Harford Community College has planned a number of activities on Tuesday, September 17 in conjunction with Constitution Day 2019.

Register to vote from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Library Patio or the Student Center. Celebrate the 232rd signing of the U.S. Constitution as Dr. Karen Hays, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, leads in the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution in the Quad at 12:30 PM. (Rain location is the Library Patio.) Patriotic snowballs will be available at the Library Patio from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Stop by the 2nd floor of the Library to view the "Constitution Day" showcase that includes various government documents.

From 12:45 to 1:30 PM, join us in the Hays-Heighe House at Harford Community College for “Census 2020 – Census 101: Everyone Counts!” awareness and educational program with Q&A by Chastity Durham-Miller, Partnership Specialist for the U.S. Census Bureau Philadelphia Region. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our goal is to make all materials and services accessible. Constitution Day recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and its signing by delegates to the Constitutional Convention on September 17, 1787 in Philadelphia.

2019 Constitution Day activities on campus are co-sponsored by the Harford Community College Library, Hays-Heighe House at Harford Community College, Office of Student Life, and the Paralegal Student Association.
