Playgrounds have reopened in Harford County parks, and boat launches are open too.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Playgrounds, fishing areas and boat launches in Harford County have reopened, Harford County Executive Barry Glassman ordered. The announcement follows the lifting of restrictions at state parks by Gov. Larry Hogan.
"On this beautiful spring day, we are reopening all county-owned outdoor recreation spaces permitted yesterday by Gov. Hogan," Glassman said in a statement Thursday, as temperatures rose to the upper 60s.
Playgrounds, golf courses, driving ranges, fishing, boating, horseback riding in state parks, outdoor archery and shooting ranges, marinas, watercraft rentals and campgrounds can reopen, the governor declared by executive order, effective at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Test results are pending from four other Harford County residents who authorities suspect died from COVID-19 as well.
During the coronavirus pandemic, most Harford County parks have stayed open; however, playgrounds, pavilions and indoor spaces were closed.

Maryland is not ready to begin the initial phase of his recovery plan, but Hogan said that his team of experts concurred that the state could ease restrictions on outdoor recreation and elective surgeries and medical procedures.
