Two Joppa Men IDed As Those Involved In Deadly Nightclub Fight

One Joppa man died and another was charged with murder after a fight outside an adult club on Pulaski Highway, Baltimore County police said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Two Harford County men were involved in a deadly fight over the weekend outside Excape Nightclub in Baltimore County, according to police. Authorities identified the suspect as well as the victim Monday morning. Both live in Joppa, about 1.5 miles apart.

Joshua David Edwards, 28, of the 200 block of Kershaw Court in Joppa, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a first-degree murder charge.

Officials said Edwards got into an argument with another man at the adult entertainment venue, which escalated when Edwards pulled out a knife and stabbed the other man outside Excape Nightclub in the 10000 block of Pulaski Highway around 12:15 a.m. Saturday.

David Bryan Collins Jr., 32, of the 100 block of Breakwater Court in Joppa, died at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center as the result of the stabbing, police said.

Police said Edwards left the scene before authorities arrived. Court records show he was taken into custody Saturday.

Edwards has a bail review hearing scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Baltimore County District Court.
