Magnolia Elementary School Principal Wins State Connected School Leader Award

A Harford Co. principal has won the MD Connected School Leader Award while a librarian has been nominated for state recognition.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A principal at Magnolia Elementary School has been named the Maryland Association of Elementary School Principal's Connected School Leader for Harford County.

Principal Rebecca Reese was chosen for the award because of her "outstanding leadership and her remarkable ability to involve all stakeholders in implementing instructional strategies. Her commitment to collective teamwork and servant leadership truly sets her apart," school leaders said.

Tracy Papinchock, librarian at Patterson Mill Middle/High School, has been nominated for the 2024 Maryland School Librarian of the Year award by the Maryland Association of School Librarians.

"This prestigious award recognizes Tracy's exemplary service and outstanding achievements in the field of school library media. The recipient of the award will be announced in May 2024," according to HCPS officials.
