Weather Decision from Harford County Public Schools

UPDATE—Harford County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 9, school officials announced Tuesday morning.

Code blue employees are to report at 10 a.m.

Full statement from Harford County Public Schools:

“Harford County Public Schools, with an important inclement weather announcement. Due to current weather conditions, Harford County Public Schools will be CLOSED today, Tuesday, February 9, 2016, Code BLUE. Code blue employees are to report at 10:00 a.m.”

Harford County government is open with liberal leave in effect Tuesday. Essential employees must report.

Students in Harford County should report two hours later than usual on Tuesday, Feb. 9, according to a statement from Harford County Public Schools.

Morning prekindergarten is canceled, school officials said.

Officials cited weather in the decision to open late.

Harford County is under a winter weather advisory until midnight Wednesday, with the potential for 2 to 5 inches of snow Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
