Harford County Seeks Public Input for Community Needs Assessment
Harford County seeking public input on use of HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds.

As a part of its Housing and Urban Development (HUD) five-year Consolidated Plan, Harford County is seeking public input on the best use of HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds.
These funds are invested in the community to improve the lives of residents with low- to moderate-income. Federal CDBG grants support community centers, housing rehabilitation, homeowner assistance, public services, infrastructure, public facilities including parks and economic development projects. Federal HOME funds are used for building, buying and/or rehabilitating affordable housing, providing direct rental assistance or security deposits, and loans or credit enhancement.
"We invite community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and interested citizens to share their ideas as we develop our spending plan for the next five years," County Executive Bob Cassilly said.
