Harford County Public Schools Teacher Of The Year Recognized For Dedication To HS Students
The 2023 Teacher of the Year for Harford County Public Schools has been credited with inspiring students.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A high school social studies teacher has been chosen as Harford County Public Schools' 2023 Teacher of the Year.
Michael Brogley, who teaches at C. Milton Wright High School, was surprised with the honor during the district's Celebration of Excellence in Education held at the Amoss Center at Harford Technical High School.
“Mr. Brogley demonstrates the effect that making genuine connections with and supporting students has on their educational success,” HCPS Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sean Bulson said.

Brogley holds a master’s degree in instruction, curriculum and assessment from Walden University and received his secondary education certification from Towson University. Previously, he was a 2017 HCPS Teacher of the Year Finalist. He is the creator and founder of C. Milton Wright High School’s Stand Up for Autism fundraiser, coordinator of the HCPS Student Page Program and a member of the C. Milton Wright High School’s Performance and Achievement Team.
As the Harford County Teacher of the Year, Brogley receives a free lease of a brand new 2023 white Jeep Cherokee for one year, courtesy of Jones Junction; a Dell laptop; and a watch from Saxon’s Diamond Centers. He also was given an array of gift cards to use at participating businesses and $1,000 from HAR-CO Credit Union.
