Severe Thunderstorm Warning Expires In Harford County

The National Weather Service expired its severe thunderstorm warning.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Harford County.

The warning was to be in effect until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

Before that time, the storms moved from the area, and the National Weather Service said the warning was expired.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday.

EXPIRED: At 7:04 p.m., radar showed severe thunderstorms on a line from Delta to near Kingsville, moving east at 25 mph, weather officials said. There may be 60 mph wind gusts, causing trees and large branches to fall.

These areas may be impacted, weather officials said: Cockeysville, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Bel Air South, Bel Air North, Perry Hall, Mays Chapel, Timonium, Fallston, Riverside, Hampton, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills, Jarrettsville, Perryman, Lutherville-Timonium, Edgewood, Joppatowne and Lutherville.

During the severe thunderstorm warning period, people should go inside to stay safe from wind and lightning.

Do not drive underneath wooded areas until the threat has passed, as trees and branches may fall. Roads may become blocked, and localized power outages are possible, according to the warning.
