Harford County Under Severe Thunderstorm Watch Wednesday

The area is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 3 p.m. with damaging winds and hail possible. Storms are expected to continue Thursday.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Harford County until 3 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service announced.

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening near the Pennsylvania state line with a lesser risk of storms extending south to the I-66/US 50 corridor. Damaging winds and hail appear to be the main threats.

The weather service also announced Wednesday morning that showers and thunderstorms will be common in area Thursday afternoon and evening. Isolated instances of severe weather and flooding are possible.
