Harford Grant Academy Applications Accepted Through August
HGA is open to individuals working with/for nonprofit organizations.
The Harford Grant Academy at Harford Community College is designed to provide training in funder research, proposal development, writing skills, and grants management. HGA is open to individuals working with/for nonprofit organizations and interested in developing skills in grant and foundation fundraising. Instruction on the essential skills and knowledge needed to achieve successful, competitive grant and foundation funding is the cornerstone of the program. What makes HGA unique is the ongoing support, resources, hands-on funder research and proposal development designed to take grant writing to a new level. HGA incorporates online learning, in-class discussion, and presentations from experts in the field. Each participant has the opportunity to have writing samples reviewed and critiqued by seasoned fundraisers and grants professionals.
Applications, which can be found online at www.harford.edu, are accepted through August for the session that begins in September. Complete the application and return it to: CFHC, P.O. Box 612, Bel Air, MD 21014 or email it to cfharfordcounty@comcast.net.
The cost is $500 per person; however, if your organization receives grant-in-aid funding from Harford County Department of Community Services, you may be able to use a portion of that funding to participate in the Harford Grant Academy. There are also a limited number of scholarships available. To request a scholarship, please submit a separate letter with your application explaining your need for financial assistance, your organization, and your goals for this class.
