Harford Inmate Tests Positive For Coronavirus: Report
Nearly 10 months after the coronavirus pandemic began, the first inmate at the Harford County Detention Center reportedly tested positive.

BEL AIR, MD — An inmate at the Harford County Detention Center has reportedly tested positive for the coronavirus. He has been at the detention center on Rock Spring Road since December, a spokesperson for the sheriff's office told The Aegis.
The inmate, who was not identified, was the first Harford County detainee to test positive for the virus since the pandemic began in March, according to the newspaper, and an investigation is underway to determine how he contracted it. His roommate tested negative, The Aegis reported Monday.
Visitation had been halted at the detention center due to the coronavirus from March to Nov. 1, when it was allowed if people made appointments a week in advance and had their temperatures checked and wore face coverings. It was suspended again Nov. 12 as coronavirus cases increased.
