Harford Man Charged With Child Pornography Possession
Homeland Security, state troopers and Harford deputies searched the home of a 49-year-old Jarrettsville man based on a tip, officials said.

JARRETTSVILLE, MD — A Jarrettsville man has been charged with possession of child pornography.
Daniel Schimming, 49, was arrested recently after authorities searched his home in the 3600 block of Anderson Lane.
According to police, Schimming came under investigation based on a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

The center alerted the Harford County Child Advocacy Center that Schimming had been uploading known images of child pornography to an online messaging account, authorities reported.
Officials from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police and Homeland Security executed a search warrant at his home on Friday, June 16, and recovered Schimming's personal electronic devices and computer equipment for review.

He was arrested and has since been released on his own recognizance.
Schimming is scheduled to appear in Harford County District Court on July 20.
