Harford Recognized with 37th National Award for Financial Reporting

Harford County government has been nationally recognized for excellence in financial reporting for the 37th consecutive year.

Harford County government has been nationally recognized for excellence in financial reporting for the 37th consecutive year.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the administration under County Executive Barry Glassman for its Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). The report was formerly known as the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

The annual report is required by state and local laws and is an overall assessment of the county’s fiscal performance including revenues, expenses, debt, investment performance and pensions.

“Harford County’s financial reporting consistently achieves the highest quality standards, and I am proud that we have earned this award for the 37th year,” County Executive Glassman said. “I would like to thank my treasurer, Robbie Sandlass, and his team for continuing our tradition of excellence.”
