Harford Sheriff Offers Active Shooter Seminar To Public

The Harford County Sheriff's office is offering an active shooter safety training that is open to the public. You must register in advance.

EDGEWOOD, MD — Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler and members of the Harford County Sheriff's Office are hosting an active shooter seminar in Edgewood on Tuesday, Sept. 3. The workshop will provide tips for how to survive an event involving an active shooter incident. Organizers say the seminar is free and open to the public.

Law enforcement officials will give background on active shooter incidents in the area and provide guidance for what to do if faced with such a scenario.

The event is free to attend. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harford County Sheriff's Office southern precinct, 1305 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood. Attendance is limited to 50 people. To register for a slot, call 410-612-1670 or send an email to communitypolicing@harfordsheriff.org.

Another shooter safety training is scheduled for Dec. 3.
