Harford Streams Summer Adventure 2024 Prize Winners Announced
The award-winning program helps to raise awareness and support for protecting Harford County's natural waterways.

The ninth annual Harford Streams Summer Adventure had another successful year with 478 adventurers qualifying for a free T-shirt and 30 furry friends qualifying for a bandana. The popular initiative helps to raise awareness and support for protecting Harford County’s natural waterways.
Developed by Harford County government’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Office, this award-winning program encourages citizens of all ages to take selfies at various locations and write a brief comment about their experiences to earn T-shirts and be eligible for other prizes. An online survey allowed participants to easily upload photos and submit their comments.
This year’s grand prize drawing choices for participants who visited at least 15 locations were a three-night stay at serene camping with creek views or a kayak trip for 12 at Anita C. Leight Estuary Center. The grand prize winner was the Alvira family from Bel Air, who chose the three-night stay at serene camping with creek views.

“I would like to congratulate this year’s prize winners and extend thanks to the hundreds of participants who ventured out to explore the many outdoor places throughout our beautiful county,” County Executive Bob Cassilly said. “This program continues to help build support for protecting Harford County’s treasured waterways.”
