Harford Tech Evacuated for Gas Smell, Principal Says
Everyone was relocated from the high school campus during investigation of odor.
BEL AIR, MD – Harford Technical High School was evacuated Monday morning for a strange odor, according to Principal Charles Hagan.
The building was cleared because of a gas smell, Hagan reported after 9:15 a.m. on Monday, and students and staff were relocated to nearby Harford Community College.
The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company investigated and found there was a gas leak in the school’s kitchen. The fire company reported there were no injuries, and the school went back to operating normally.
