HCPS Updates Weather Call For Monday, Feb. 11
Harford County Public Schools has reevaluated weather conditions Monday morning and updated its decision about the schedule.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, Feb. 11. School officials made the decision Monday morning, citing unsafe travel conditions countywide as well as weather forecasts.
After-school and evening activities are canceled on Monday in Harford County Public Schools.
The Harford County Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled. It will now be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, officials reported.

Harford County is under a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain until 10 a.m. Monday.
A winter storm watch takes effect from 4 p.m. Monday to midnight for a second round of wintry precipitation.

Harford County Public Schools provided a look at the roads Monday morning:
PREVIOUS DECISION (EXPIRED as of 6 a.m. Monday) — Public schools in Harford County will start later than usual on Monday, Feb. 11. Officials made the decision Sunday night.
Schools will start two hours late on Monday, Feb. 11, officials reported.
Morning prekindergarten is canceled for Monday.
Staff will reevaluate the situation Monday morning.
Harford County is under a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain that will likely start Sunday night and continue until 10 a.m. Monday.
The National Weather Service, which issued the advisory, reports that another threat of wintry precipitation may materialize later Monday into Tuesday.
Due to weather forecasts, Harford County Public Schools and offices will open two hours late tomorrow, Monday, February 11, 2019; no morning Pre-K. Staff will re-evaluate in the morning.
