HCPS Makes Weather Decision For Monday, Jan. 14
Due to snow, Harford County Public Schools announced a change in schedule for Monday, Jan. 14.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Schools and offices in Harford County Public Schools will open two hours late on Monday, Jan. 14. Officials made the announcement before 6 p.m. on Sunday, citing the refreezing that is predicted on area roads overnight.
Morning prekindergarten is canceled.
First shift custodians should report on time.

Due to predicted refreezing conditions overnight, Harford County Public Schools and Offices will open two hours late tomorrow, Monday, January 14, 2019; no morning Pre-K. First shift custodians are to report on time. Staff will re-evaluate in the morning.

At 4:05 p.m., the National Weather Service reported numerous snow showers were happening in the Baltimore and DC metropolitan areas that would continue through mid-evening, tapering to flurries around midnight.

Road conditions will deteriorate quickly, with visibility less than a quarter of a mile, creating hazards in some areas. Temperatures will reach the lower 20s overnight, so refreezing is likely, especially in areas untreated by salt or snow melt, weather officials said.
