Schools and government officials have announced plans in Harford County for Thursday, March 22.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD -- Schools in Harford County will be closed on Thursday, March 22, officials said. The closure comes after Wednesday's snowstorm left nearly a foot of accumulation in parts of Harford. It also means that the school calendar for next week is impacted.
Harford County Public Schools will be closed to students on Thursday March 22, operating on a "code green" status. Under code green conditions, schools and offices are closed, and day care and evening activities are canceled. Only essential personnel should report, with no second shift custodians on duty. Code green employees should report at 10 a.m.
Due to the closure on Thursday, Harford County Public Schools has made Wednesday, March 28, a school day for both students and staff. Previously, it had been slated as a professional development day, for staff only.

Snow totaling 11 inches was measured in Norrisville Wednesday afternoon, based on preliminary data submitted to the National Weather Service.
