HCPS Sets Last Day Of School, Hours For Exams
As the end of the school year approaches, Harford County Public Schools administrators ironed out logistics for the final days.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD ā The last day of classes will be Friday, June 9, for students in kindergarten through 11th grade, Harford County Public Schools reported in a statement Monday.
Start times will be adjusted for high school students the last three days of school to allow for final exams. Buses will pick up high school students approximately three hours later than usual in the morning; high schoolers will arrive between 10 and 10:15 a.m. on June 7, June 8 and June 9. They will dismiss at regular times. North Harford Middle School will be following suit, since it follows the high school schedule.
Alternative Education Program students should arrive between 1:15 and 1:30 p.m. on June 7, June 8 and June 9. Bus runs will pick up students precisely three hours later than their normal pick up times, and dismissal will take place as usual.

The last day for pre-kindergarten will be Wednesday, June 7.
Teachers and 10-month instructional support employees will have their last day of the school year on Monday, June 12, which has been set aside as a professional development day.

Summer hours for 12-month employees will start on Monday, June 12. School office operating hours will be 7 a.m.ā5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Normal operating hours (which include Fridays) will commence on Monday, Aug. 21, school officials said.
Administrators said the dates were contingent upon no further weather-related modifications.
