Health Officials Warn Of Possible Rabies Exposure In Harford Co.
Harford County health officials are warning residents of possible a rabies exposure in the Creswell area of the county.
BEL AIR, MD – Harford County health officials are warning residents of possible a rabies exposure in the Creswell area of the county in mid-April.
Officials announced Thursday a tortoise shell-colored domestic short-haired cat that was found in the area has tested positive for rabies. While this cat was found in the 2300 block of Creswell Road, it may have exposed other people or pets in the area.
Residents are advised to contact the Harford County Health Department if they or their pets have had contact with a cat sharing the same description between April 10 and April 20 for a rabies risk assessment. The health department can be called at 410-612-1774.
