Helicopter Over Harford to Repair Power Lines: BGE
BGE is conducting maintenance in part of Harford County via helicopter.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – Helicopters may be hovering around Harford over the next few days, as utility workers inspect power lines between Joppa and Forest Hill, according to BGE.
The work is weather-permitting and should be completed during daylight hours between Wednesday, April 27, and Saturday, April 30, BGE officials said.
The job involves replacing transmission lines and towers between MD 152 and Boggs Road, according to officials.

During the work, the helicopter might hover near power lines or follow a flight path along the transmission lines, officials said. The aircraft may also be towing ropes.
The job involves stringing and fastening new overhead wires, BGE reported.

According to the utility company, it is upgrading transmission lines and towers along the BGE transmission corridor from Kingsville to Pylesville and Norrisville. The upgrade will allow for more safety and reliability, officials said.
