Help Plant Trees Friday In Bel Air To Celebrate Arbor Day In Harford County
County leaders are encouraging volunteers to help plant trees Friday for Harford County's Arbor Day Celebration starting at 9:30 a.m.
BEL AIR, MD — Residents are invited to help plant trees Friday for Harford County's Arbor Day Celebration.
An estimated 180 trees will be planted at Schucks Road Regional Park Friday. Families, civic organizations, school groups and Scouts are encouraged to help and everyone who does will receive a free native tree to take home.
This is the 18th Arbor Day celebration organized by the Harford County Department of Planning & Zoning to plant native trees across the county. Since the celebrations began in 2003, Harford has planted more than 33,000 native trees, including red maple, tulip poplar, white oak, black walnut, eastern red cedar and redbud.

Volunteers should bring a hammer, shovel and work gloves if they have them, organizers said, and arrive in the parking lot at Schucks Regional Park at 9:30 a.m., located at 301 Shucks Road. Tree planting will begin at 10 a.m. and is expected to last two to three hours.
