Here's Your Next Chance To Weigh In On Bel Air's $23.4M Proposed Budget
The community can weigh in on Harford County's $23.4M proposed budget Wednesday night and again in May.
BEL AIR, MD — The public has another chance to provide input on Bel Air's proposed general fund budget for fiscal 2024.
The town’s $23.4 million draft budget for fiscal 2024 can be viewed online.
The current tax rates of $.54 per $100 of valuation for real property and $1.20 for personal property are expected to remain the same when the next fiscal year begins July 1.

Sewer rates, which are currently $6.48 per 1,000 gallons, are expected to increase by 8 percent, or $.52, as the Consumer Price Index has increased as of December 2022, according to officials.
The town’s proposed budget includes an $18.4 million general fund, a $3.9 million sewer fund, a parking fund of more than $594,000 and a special revenue fund of more than $459,000.

The public also can attend the council's upcoming work sessions April 19 at 4:30 p.m., April 25 at 4 p.m., May 4 at 4 p.m. and May 9 at 4 p.m. The next public hearing will be May 15 when town commissioners will vote on the budget.
