Heritage Bel Air Honda American Cancer Society Car Raffle Drawing
Winner of a MileOne Autogroup Honda CRV or $20,000 to be drawn Dec. 18. Funds raised help provide rides to treatment for cancer patients.

For 20 years, MileOne Autogroup has donated a new vehicle to be raffled by the American Cancer Society to raise funds to fight cancer. This year's raffle pull will take place on Wednesday, December 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Heritage Bel Air Honda and be shown live on Facebook at facebook.com/MileOneAutogroup. The raffle raises funds for the Society's Road to Recovery program to help provide free rides to treatment for cancer patients who are too sick to drive themselves and don't have family and friends to take them to the many appointments needed for cancer treatment. Transportation is one of the biggest roadblocks to successful treatment. Raffle tickets are $10 each. Tickets are available at Heritage Bel Air Honda at 1800 Belair Rd Suite A, Fallston, MD 21047.
During 2018, more than 450 cancer patients in Maryland were served with almost 10,000 free rides through the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program. This number has increased substantially during 2019.
MileOne Autogroup CEO Steve Fader commented “Lack of available, affordable transportation is one of the biggest barriers to completing cancer treatment for patients who do not have the resources to get to all their appointments. MileOne Autogroup wants to eliminate as many outside sources of stress as possible for cancer patients so they can focus on what truly matters – getting the treatments they need to heal.”

The Road to Recovery program also needs more volunteer drivers in Harford County and throughout Maryland. Drivers use their own cars to take cancer patients to and from treatment. Hours and schedules are flexible. To learn about volunteering, go to www.cancer.org/drive.
