The National Weather Service reports slow-moving storms will move across the region Tuesday afternoon and evening, capable of heavy rainfall in areas that are already saturated, which may lead to flooding.
Flood waters are usually deeper than they seem to be, according to the weather service, which reports one foot of water is enough to sweep a vehicle off the road.
If drivers see flooding on roads, they should remember: “Turn around—don’t drown.”
