Image360 Harford Now Women Owned Certified

HARFORD, MD. – The National Women’s Business Council presented Image360 Harford with Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) certifications in January 2018.

Kathy Hanna, owner of Image360 Harford, qualified for the certifications earlier this year, after purchasing the signs and graphics company four years ago with her husband, Dwight.

“These certifications open up many new doors and opportunities for Image360,’” said Kathy. “Being certified as “women owned” allows us to enter new markets, programs and contracts, and help us reach our goals in further developing the business.”

The WOSB and WBE certifications recognize minority-run establishments and qualify them to become involved in corporate supplier diversity programs and federal procurement programs. Government purchasing agencies seek business with women-owned companies and look for these certifications when buying.

To be eligible for the WOSB and WBE certifications, a woman must own her business for more than six months and be active in daily management of the company. WOSB and WBE certifications state that a woman has least 51 percent ownership and control of an organization.
