Independent Brewing Company Seeks To Expand Outdoor Presence
The brewery on North Main Street in Bel Air looks to expand its outdoor offerings and parking.
BEL AIR, MD — Independent Brewing Company is proposing expanding its outdoor area on Main Street. The Bel Air Planning Commission is holding a public hearing on the issue Thursday night at Town Hall.
Located at 418 North Main Street, Independent Brewing is proposing a modification to its existing use as a microbrewery.
The brewery, which opened in 2015, regularly features live bands and hosts an array of food trucks to complement the locally made ales and ciders it offers patrons at its taproom and patio.

The proposal calls for an expansion of Independent's outdoor games and customer seating area.
Satellite parking is part of the request, according to planning documents.

Currently, plans show the patio is 1,546 square feet, while the proposed fenced-in outdoor area is 4,778 square feet.
The public hearing before the Bel Air Planning Commission will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 7, at Bel Air Town Hall, 39 Hickory Avenue, Bel Air.
